Stoke-on-Trent, commonly referred to as Stoke, is a city located in Staffordshire. It is part of North Staffordshire, which has a population of roughly 500,000. Stoke is the home of the pottery indisutry in England and is commonly known as the Potteries. Stoke has a wealth of attractions including Alton Towers, Water World, Trentham Monkey Park and Gardens and much more. There’s a large shopping centre in Hanley, cinemas and plenty of bars and restaurants whilst those looking for a quieter way of life can enjoy the Staffordshrie moorlands and adjoining peak district.
